I agree :) Thanks for your comment, Rene. Wide tables are good for OLAP but data often becomes redundant. I think what Kimball meant is that dimensional modelling has a lot of applications and use case scenarios in different industries. It's a great approach to learn data transformation techniques. For me it's all the same. Dimensions can exist in any table and we need to know how to use them to manage our BI pipelines effectively. Even a star schema can be considered as an extension fo Snowflake and vice versa. So... it's a great discussion and data modelling is a fascinating world full of complex things which are not very straightforward at first glance.
